Random Acts of Thanksgiving

A smiling elderly woman in a colorful jacket and hat stands with a shopping cart filled with groceries. She's flanked by two credit union employees in blue uniforms inside a grocery store.

We decided to celebrate Thanksgiving by giving back to those in our local community by offering to pay for their groceries at Food Lion locations in Kenansville, Spout Springs, Skibo Drive, Hope Mills, and the Westwood Shopping Center!

“We gave away over $3,000 in gift cards and got a lot of smiles back,” said President and CEO of Bragg Mutual, Steve Foley. “It’s the season of giving and that’s what we hope to accomplish — to give a gift. But we received back more than we gave in the form of smiles, stories, appreciation, and friendship. It was a humbling and heartwarming experience to help our members and community members alike.”

“This was indeed a wonderful experience and it made me feel very proud to be a part of an organization that gives back to the community,” said Natasha Cannon, Teller at Bragg Mutual’s Kenansville Branch. “My heart was touched as individuals shared their personal stories and expressions. I’m already looking forward to this Random Act of Thanksgiving next year!”

We hope to continue our Random Acts of Thanksgiving for years to come as a way to thank our community members for showing Bragg Mutual so much support over the years!
